Walnut Creek Chiropractor Admits Chiropractic Treatment Can Be Close To “Miraculous”

Walnut Creek Chiropractor

I’m just giving the facts, here, so let me say with great professional satisfaction that chiropractors like me, your Walnut Creek chiropractor, have a superior reputation when it comes to relieving back pain. Suffice it to say that chiropractors are spine experts. In fact, if I had my way, the word “chiropractor” would follow the word “spine” in the dictionary! If you’ve chosen a chiropractor in Walnut Creek or anywhere else in the world where chiropractic treatment is available, for relief from your back pain, be it mild, moderate, or severe, then you know, for hand about the power of this exceptional non-invasive, drug-free treatment for back pain relief. Of course, since chiropractors are also experts when it comes to caring for the rest of the musculoskeletal system, chiropractic care can frequently eliminate neck pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, hip pain, knee pain, and ankle pain. A chiropractor can also give relief from conditions such as stress headaches, migraines, carpal tunnel, and plantar fascitis.  The healing capabilities of chiropractic are many!

Sometimes, even for chiropractors, the success of chiropractic treatment and its ability in helping people get out of pain and get their life back again can seem, well, almost miraculous. When I hear from chiropractic patients who’ve not only gotten rid of their pain through chiropractic treatment, but also increased energy and vitality, stress relief and peace of mind, and a greater ability to get a good night’s sleep, I feel gratified.

Still, sometimes I come across something, like this particular research article I read in the scientific periodical, Journal of Pediatric, Maternal and Family Health, and I am moved to a new level of admiration for my profession. The research detailed the case of a severely disabled 16-year-old girl suffering from Cerebral Palsy with muscle spasticity and sleep disturbances. Her family was most distressed about her inability to sleep through the night. The girl, confined to a wheelchair, had metal rods surgically fused from her neck down to the base of her spine since the age of seven.

The mother of the girl brought her to a chiropractor for correction of misalignment that she hoped would help to decrease her daughter’s all too frequet severe pain. As one can imagine, the examination was difficult. However the chiropractor was able to ascertain that there were several subluxations that could be safely adjusted. Care was initiated at a frequency of twice per week. The girl was sleeping through the night after just six adjustments. By her ninth visit she showed an improvement in her muscle spasticity as measured by specific instruments.

Though full recovery was not expected, “the patient and her family were able to return to a normal sleep schedule as well as enjoy improved quality of life,” the research authors noted.

“Improved quality of life.” Can anyone ask for more from treatment? Not likely!  But, let me tell you, more chiropractors hear those words from their patients than medical doctors do.
